Help us make a difference this holiday season with the X and K J Athon

The FISH and Catholic Charities Christmas Store needs your help to fill the SEMI during the X & KJ A-THON on Wednesday, December 11th 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The semi will be located at Premier Broadcasting, 206 S. Willow, Effingham.

It takes an entire community to put on an event like the Christmas Store. Help us ensure that every Effingham County child has a Christmas toy and every resident has food on their table on Christmas day.

Every donation helps!

Monetary donations can be made during the X and K J Athon or sent prior to the event to FISH Human Services, P O Box 4 7 3, Effingham, IL 6 2 4 0 1. Make checks payable to FISH (MEMO: The Christmas Store). You can also make your monetary donations to Catholic Charities at 15 0 2 East Fayette Avenue in Teutopolis, IL 6 2 4 6 7. Make checks payable to Catholic Charities. Items needed are new hats and gloves, new coats, new toys (infant - high school), diapers (any size), new family board games, new kids' socks, new kids' underwear, new kids' P Js. Gently used kids' coats can be taken to Wiedman Cleaners during the month of November to be cleaned for a new family! Food needed will be egg noodles, can pie filling, pancake mix, peanut butter, potatoes in a box, pie shells, syrup, jelly, stuffing mix, and any non-perishable food item.

We are anticipating providing goods for over 900 Effingham County Children in 2024!

If your business would like to create a drive amongst co-workers, we encourage you to drop your collection off as a group and get your picture in front of the big wheel!
